Head of the State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Supervisory Board and Chief Operating Officer of Danantara Indonesia, Dony Oskaria, together with President Director of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, Rivan A. Purwantono, inspected Travoy Rest KM 88A and Travoy Rest KM 88B on the Cikampek–Purwakarta–Padalarang (Cipularang) Toll Road in West Java on Tuesday, 21 July 2026. The visit continued to the Jasamarga Tollroad Command Center (JMTC) in Jatiasih, Bekasi, to observe the digital transformation developed by the company in managing toll road operations.

During the visit, Rivan stated that Jasa Marga is continuously transforming through the revitalisation of rest areas and strengthening the role of the JMTC as a technology-based operational control centre. He explained that the development of Travoy Rest is part of the company’s strategy to enhance service quality for road users through a destination hub concept. This approach transforms rest areas from mere stopover points into destinations that offer a more comfortable and memorable travel experience.

The transformation at Travoy Rest KM 88A and KM 88B on the Cipularang Toll Road includes the expansion of the area, revitalisation of facilities, addition of green open spaces, and optimisation of vehicle circulation and parking capacity. The upgrades also feature renovated toilets, more comprehensive facilities, additional Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU), and the strengthening of local MSMEs’ role. “The hope is that Travoy Rest KM 88A can become a model rest area that optimally accommodates the needs of road users,” said Rivan.

The empowerment of local MSMEs is realised through the provision of various Nusantara speciality products, offering more diverse culinary choices for road users. Additionally, Jasa Marga has implemented an integrated waste management system that includes sorting at the source, collection, processing, and the reuse of processed waste into organic fertiliser. This system was developed as a showcase for waste management in rest areas to support the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.

In its digital service transformation, Jasa Marga continues to optimise the JMTC as ‘The Eye of Toll Road’. This integrated operational control centre monitors the entire Jasa Marga toll road network 24 hours a day in real-time to support fast, precise, and responsive decision-making regarding traffic dynamics. Supported by over 3,500 CCTV cameras, a Traffic Counting System, Variable Message Signs (VMS), Speed Cameras, Weigh in Motion (WIM), traffic radar, artificial intelligence, and big data analytics, the JMTC monitors approximately 3.5 million vehicles daily. This technology also accelerates coordination for emergency handling, traffic engineering, and the delivery of accurate travel information to road users.

Head of the SOE Supervisory Board and COO of Danantara Indonesia, Dony Oskaria, emphasised that services provided by state-owned enterprises must be continuously improved in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s directives. He noted that the use of technology must be optimised, from monitoring all toll road sections to accelerating responses to any incidents. “Technology must also be able to provide accurate travel information so that the public can know traffic conditions and estimate travel time. In this journey, improving the quality of rest areas is important as an inseparable part of toll road services because road users are entitled to good service and safe, comfortable rest facilities,” said Dony.

He assessed that the transformation carried out by Jasa Marga aligns with Danantara Indonesia’s direction in promoting value creation based on service excellence. Dony expressed appreciation for Jasa Marga’s service improvements, which are not only oriented towards toll road operations but also provide convenience, comfort, and added value for the public. “I would like to express my gratitude to all directors and employees of Jasa Marga. Over the past year, we have seen an extraordinary transformation at Jasa Marga progressing quite well. In principle, the government wants to improve the quality of public services so that people can enjoy and experience a significant improvement in toll road services. Keep up the spirit in carrying out the task of providing the best service to all Indonesian people,” said Dony.

As the market leader in toll road management in Indonesia, Jasa Marga continues to strengthen its service transformation through innovation, digitalisation, and the application of sustainability principles. The company is committed to delivering adaptive services that meet the needs of the public, ensuring that every journey is safer, more comfortable, smoother, and more secure, while supporting the realisation of a competitive and sustainable national infrastructure.
