JAKARTA - Ahead of the long Ascension Day holiday from 14-17 May 2026, PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk has ensured that all preservation services are on 24-hour standby. Jasa Marga President Director Rivan A. Purwantono explained that this readiness represents the company’s commitment to guaranteeing the safety and comfort of all toll road users, particularly amidst dynamic weather conditions and high rainfall still occurring in several regions. In addition, toll road infrastructure preparedness is a top priority, fulfilled through meeting Minimum Service Standards (SPM) to support the smooth travel of toll road users. Rivan stated that the potential for damage to toll road infrastructure surfaces is vulnerable to increase due to high rainfall combined with heavy vehicle traffic loads, especially overloaded or Over Dimension Over Loading (ODOL) cargo. These conditions pose challenges, and Jasa Marga is accelerating its sustainable preservation programme through routine maintenance, periodic maintenance, and improvements to road quality across all operational sections. The efforts include periodic monitoring of road pavement conditions, repairing fine cracks to prevent water seepage into lower layers, and strengthening road structures at points frequently traversed by heavy vehicle loads. A 24-hour preservation team has been prepared to monitor toll road pavement conditions with appropriate and rapid handling. Furthermore, to support accelerated damage detection, the company utilises digital technology support such as the Hawkeye Smart Inspection Car to precisely map road conditions. Data from this system, combined with monitoring from the Jasa Marga Tollroad Command Center (JMTC), on-site inspections by patrol officers, and customer complaint reports via the Travoy app, enables the preservation team to take immediate action. The 24-hour readiness also covers monitoring of flood-prone points. Jasa Marga is intensively conducting cleaning and normalisation of drainage channels as well as water retention ponds/long storage at several locations.
