TANGERANG – PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk has attributed road damage on the Tangerang-Jakarta toll road at KM 13 heading towards Jakarta, specifically in the Karang Tengah area of Tangerang, to high rainfall over recent weeks.

The wet conditions have compromised road pavement quality, resulting in damage at multiple points along the route.

Panji, Head of Marketing Communication Department at Jasa Marga Metropolitan Regional, stated that prolonged rainy weather and elevated rainfall levels continue to impact pavement deterioration.

“The weather conditions and high rainfall continue to have an impact on pavement damage,” Panji said when contacted on Tuesday, 10 March 2026. “In terms of repairs, we are also unable to work at maximum capacity due to the ongoing wet conditions,” he added.

In light of this situation, Jasa Marga has extended an apology to road users regarding the suboptimal condition of the pavement.

“I want to convey that Jasa Marga apologises to road users for the pavement condition that has not yet reached optimal standards, and we will continue with staged repairs,” he stated.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution whilst travelling on this toll road section and to remain vigilant of road conditions in order to avoid the risk of accidents or vehicle damage.
