Vehicle movements leaving the Jabodetabek region have begun to increase ahead of the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah holiday. On H-8 Lebaran (eight days before Eid) on Friday, 13 March 2026, PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk recorded increased traffic volumes at several major toll gates serving as exit routes from Jakarta and its surroundings.

Through Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Regional Division (JMT), the company recorded a total of 175,132 vehicles leaving Jabodetabek heading towards various destinations, including Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Merak, and the Puncak area. This figure represents a 0.72 per cent increase compared to normal traffic volumes of approximately 173,879 vehicles.

Senior General Manager of Jasamarga Metropolitan, Widiyatmiko Nursejati, explained that increased traffic was evident at several major toll gates. At Cengkareng Toll Gate, which leads to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, 83,572 vehicles were recorded passing through.

“This figure increased 1.20 per cent compared to normal traffic of 82,577 vehicles,” he stated in a written statement on Saturday, 14 March 2026.

Meanwhile, vehicle traffic heading to Merak via Cikupa Toll Gate also experienced an increase. A total of 55,520 vehicles were recorded passing through, up 6.88 per cent compared to normal conditions of 51,944 vehicles.

In contrast to these two toll gates, traffic heading to the Puncak area via Ciawi 1 Toll Gate actually declined. The number of vehicles recorded was 36,040 units, down 8.43 per cent compared to normal traffic of 39,358 vehicles.

In West Java, Widyatmiko stated that vehicle traffic heading to Bandung and its surroundings also began to increase. A total of 55,520 vehicles were recorded heading towards the Bandung or Rancaekek area, up 1.93 per cent compared to normal traffic of 74,668 vehicles.

This increase was evident at several toll gate locations. At Cileunyi Toll Gate on the Padaleunyi toll road section, 38,728 vehicles were recorded heading towards Rancaekek, Garut, and surrounding areas. This figure increased 2.34 per cent compared to normal traffic of 37,844 vehicles.

Vehicle traffic passing through the same toll gate heading to Bandung or Jakarta also increased quite significantly. A total of 32,645 vehicles were recorded passing through, up 14.23 per cent compared to normal traffic of 28,579 vehicles.

Meanwhile, the volume of vehicles entering Bandung City via Pasteur Toll Gate reached 37,379 vehicles, an increase of 1.51 per cent compared to normal conditions of 36,824 vehicles. Vehicles leaving Bandung heading to Jakarta via the toll gate were recorded at 30,999 units, slightly lower at 0.84 per cent compared to normal traffic of 31,261 vehicles.

As vehicle mobility increases ahead of the extended holiday period, Jasa Marga has called upon road users to prepare their journeys well. Motorists are asked to ensure that both their vehicle condition and driver health are in prime condition, and to check fuel sufficiency and electronic money balance before entering the toll road.

In addition, road users are reminded to use the same electronic money card when conducting transactions on closed toll systems, such as on the Cipularang, Padaleunyi, and JORR II toll road sections, both when entering and exiting toll gates.
