Jasa Marga Predicts Peak Return Traffic on 24 March 2026
JAKARTA - PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol predicts that the peak of the Lebaran 2026 return traffic will occur on 24 March 2026. A significant increase in vehicle volume is expected as the holiday period ends and people return to their home cities for daily activities. According to Ria Marlinda Paallo, Vice President of Corporate Secretary & Legal at PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, the projection is based on traffic distribution patterns and trends in vehicle movements during this year’s mudik and return periods. She advises toll road users to plan their journeys carefully, including choosing departure times outside peak hours to avoid traffic density. As vehicle volumes rise, traffic engineering measures are also being implemented. A one-way scheme for return traffic will be applied starting from 23 March 2026 at 12:00 WIB, from KM 421 on the Semarang-Solo section to KM 70 on the Jakarta-Cikampek section. Additionally, contraflow will be enforced on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road, specifically from KM 70 to KM 47, starting from 23 March 2026 at 14:00 WIB. Even on 24 March 2026, predicted to be the peak return day, additional contraflow will be prepared on the Jagorawi toll road from 14:00 to 19:00 WIB.
