JAKARTA - The President Director of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, Rivan A Purwantono, stated that the company predicts the return flow for Eid 2026 will occur on Tuesday (24/3/2026). Therefore, Jasa Marga urges road users to plan their travel times. “Ahead of the return flow period, we request the cooperation of road users to plan their journeys even better by avoiding the predicted peak return flow time on Tuesday, 24 March 2026,” he explained in an official statement, quoted on Sunday (22/3/2026). Meanwhile, the total number of vehicles exiting the Jabotabek area during the H-10 to H-1 period for Eid 1447 H/2026, namely 11 to 20 March 2026, reached 1,810,134 units. This figure is an accumulation of traffic flow from four main toll gates: GT Cikampek Utama heading to Trans Java, GT Kalihurip Utama towards Bandung, GT Cikupa towards Merak, and GT Ciawi towards Puncak. Overall, the volume of vehicles leaving Jabotabek during that period was recorded to increase by 25.5 percent compared to normal conditions, which stood at 1,442,037 vehicles. For the distribution of traffic leaving Jabotabek towards the three directions, the majority, amounting to 989,628 vehicles (54.7 percent), headed east (Trans Java and Bandung), 465,840 vehicles (25.7 percent) towards the west (Merak), and 354,666 vehicles (19.6 percent) towards the south (Puncak). The distribution of traffic flow leaving the Jabotabek area during the pre-Eid 2026 period shows dominance in movement towards the east, particularly to Trans Java and Bandung. Through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, 661,258 vehicles were recorded heading to Trans Java, a significant surge of 131.9 percent compared to normal conditions. Overall, the total vehicles moving towards Trans Java and Bandung through both toll gates reached 989,628 units, an increase of 64.5 percent compared to normal conditions. On the other hand, the flow of vehicles towards the west or Merak through the Cikupa Toll Gate on the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road was recorded at 465,840 vehicles. This figure was actually 4.2 percent lower than normal conditions.
