Jasa Marga Predicts Peak of 2026 Lebaran Return Flow on 24 March
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The peak of the return flow during the 2026 Lebaran period, or Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri, is predicted to occur on 24 March 2026. A second wave of the peak return flow is estimated for 28–29 March.
“Our prediction for the return flow is on 24 March,” said the President Director of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, Rivan A. Purwantono, at the Jasa Marga Management Training Centre building, Jalan Akses Tol Jatiasih, Bekasi, West Java, on Friday (20/3/2026).
To anticipate the increase in vehicle volume, he urged the public to return home on 26 and 27 March, taking advantage of the 30 per cent toll discount.
“A well-planned arrangement with the right timing. Check road density so that the return journey can proceed smoothly and safely to the destination,” he said.
On the same occasion, the Director General of Land Transportation from the Ministry of Transportation, Aan Suhanan, stated that with the government’s work from anywhere (WFA) policy, the public is urged to adjust their return times to home.
“They can return on 25, 26, 27 up to 29 March so that this peak flow can be spread across each day,” he said.
According to him, this arrangement is carried out to provide convenience and comfort for all members of the public who will return to their respective homes.
