Jasa Marga Implements Open-Close System for Rest Area KM 62B on Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road

Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk has implemented an open-close system at Rest Area KM 62B on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road towards Jakarta, based on the discretion of the Indonesian National Police. The system is applied to anticipate the increased volume of traffic returning to Jakarta that may enter the aforementioned rest areas and to maintain smooth traffic flow on the main toll route. In a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday, Jasa Marga President Director Rivan A. Purwantono explained that Rest Area KM 52B on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road has also been temporarily closed at the discretion of the Police, considering the significantly increased return traffic to Jakarta. “We urge users of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road towards Jakarta to utilise other rest areas such as KM 42B and KM 19B. Meanwhile, for road users from the Cipularang toll road heading to Jakarta, they can use rest areas at KM 97B, KM 88B, or KM 72B,” said Rivan. Rivan also reminded that if rest areas within the toll road are crowded, users can exit through the nearest access to find alternative rest areas outside the toll road. “Prepare your journey well, including arranging time and rest locations before entering the toll road section,” he added. To manage the return traffic flow, Jasa Marga continues to coordinate intensively with the Police to divert heavy transport vehicles in accordance with the provisions of the Joint Ministerial Decree (SKB) at critical points such as the Palimanan Toll Gate (GT) and entry accesses to the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road.
