Jasa Marga ensures operational readiness of GT Cikatama for one-way system

Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) has ensured the operational readiness of Gerbang Tol (GT) Cikampek Utama in welcoming the implementation of the national one-way traffic engineering from KM 414 at GT Kalikangkung on the Batang-Semarang toll road to KM 70 at GT Cikampek Utama on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road. Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal JTT, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that as the final barrier toll gate receiving vehicle flow from the Trans Java Toll Road towards Jakarta, GT Cikampek Utama becomes one of the crucial nodes in traffic regulation during the Lebaran return period. “To support the smooth implementation of this traffic engineering, JTT is optimising toll gate operations with booth arrangements adjusted to the dominant direction of vehicle flow,” said Ria in her statement in Jakarta on Tuesday. She explained that the adjustment of booth operations at GT Cikampek Utama is intended to anticipate a surge in vehicle volume from the eastern Trans Java region towards Jakarta. In addition to toll booth optimisation, JTT is also preparing the operation of GT Cikampek Utama 8 (Cikatama 8) to receive vehicle flow from the eastern Trans Java region towards Jakarta if there is an increase in traffic volume. The operation of this toll gate will be carried out situationally, considering field traffic conditions and the results of coordination with the Police. JTT is also deploying 19 mobile reader (MR) units at GT Cikampek Utama to accelerate transaction processes during surges in vehicle volume.
