Jasa Marga Continues Repairs on Japek Toll Road, Situational Contraflow Implemented

JAKARTA - PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) has once again implemented situational contraflow traffic engineering on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road towards Cikampek on Friday (08/05/2026).

The contraflow is being applied from KM 23 to KM 28 starting at 06:56 WIB to anticipate an increase in vehicle volume while supporting the ongoing road maintenance work at KM 28+175 towards Cikampek, which has been underway since Thursday (07/05/2026).

VP Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that the traffic engineering is carried out based on coordination and discretion from the police.

“The implementation of contraflow is a form of traffic engineering to support the smooth flow of vehicles while facilitating the ongoing road maintenance work on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road section,” said Ria, quoted on Friday (08/05/2026).

Ria explained that the contraflow was enforced earlier based on evaluations of traffic conditions and progress of the work on site from the previous day.

According to her, this step is taken to keep the distribution of vehicle traffic smooth from the morning.

“Based on the results of evaluations of traffic conditions and the progress of the work on site since yesterday, the contraflow traffic engineering has been reapplied earlier today as a precautionary measure to maintain smooth vehicle traffic distribution from the morning,” she continued.

JTT is also continuously conducting periodic evaluations of traffic conditions and the progress of the road maintenance work.

In addition to implementing traffic arrangements, JTT is optimising vehicle flow monitoring through CCTV and deploying officers on the ground.

These steps are aimed at ensuring that the traffic engineering runs smoothly while still prioritising the safety aspects for road users.

JTT also extends its apologies for any inconveniences during the road work and traffic engineering implementation.

Road users are urged to anticipate their journeys, ensure vehicles are roadworthy, comply with signs and officer instructions, and ensure sufficient electronic money balance before entering the toll road.
