Jasa Marga Chief Executive Urges Travellers to Use Travoy Application
Jakarta — The Chief Executive of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, Rivan A. Purwantono, has urged homebound travellers to make use of the Travoy application when planning their journeys.
“We urge the public to plan their journeys carefully, avoid peak congestion times and high-risk locations, and take advantage of current traffic information available in real-time, including through the Travoy application,” Rivan stated in a statement issued in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Before entering toll roads, ensure that both the vehicle and driver are in optimal condition. Use time wisely by taking adequate rest breaks at rest areas, ensuring sufficient fuel reserves, maintaining sufficient balance on electronic payment cards, and complying with traffic signs and instructions from personnel on the ground.
Rivan A. Purwantono reported that traffic departing Greater Jakarta (Jabotabek) during the period 10 to 5 days before the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri/Lebaran 2026 holiday—spanning Wednesday to Monday (11-16 March 2026)—totalled 990,506 vehicles.
This figure represents cumulative traffic flow from four main toll gates, namely Cikampek North Gate (Trans Java direction), Kalihurip North Gate (Bandung direction), Cikupa Gate (Merak direction), and Ciawi Gate (Puncak direction).
Total traffic volume departing Greater Jakarta increased by 13.6 per cent compared with normal traffic levels (871,629 vehicles).
Regarding traffic distribution departing Greater Jakarta in three directions: the majority of 479,899 vehicles (48.5 per cent) headed east (towards Trans Java and Bandung), 303,113 vehicles (30.6 per cent) headed west (towards Merak), and 207,494 vehicles (20.9 per cent) headed south (towards Puncak).
Rivan explained that on 5 days before the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri/Lebaran 2026 holiday (Monday, 16 March 2026), traffic volume departing Greater Jakarta through the four main toll gates recorded 178,164 vehicles, an increase of 36.4 per cent compared with normal traffic of 130,641 vehicles.
“Public movement departing Greater Jakarta continues to rise as the Eid al-Fitr holiday approaches,” Rivan said.
Jasa Marga projects that traffic volume at the four main toll gates during peak hours—anticipated to occur on Wednesday 18 March 2026—will reach approximately 259,000 vehicles, an increase of 90.5 per cent compared with normal traffic.
This increase is driven by the combined effect of shared holidays and the celebration of Nyepi (18-19 March) and shared holidays for the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri/2026 holiday (20 March).
