JAKARTA - The President Director of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, Rivan Achmad Purwantono, revealed that 34 percent of holidaymakers have already left Jakarta as of Wednesday (18/3/2026). This figure represents an increase of around 30 percent from Tuesday (17/3/2026) afternoon. “The progress has reached 34 percent of the population that has exited,” Rivan stated during a press conference updating infrastructure readiness ahead of Nyepi and Eid at the Presidential Staff Office in Central Jakarta, Wednesday (18/3/2026). The one-way policy, Rivan explained, begins from KM 70 to KM 263. “This is part of traffic engineering after observing sustained density with average speeds of 30 to 40 (kilometres per hour), so we felt the need to implement contraflow starting with one lane at kilometre 44, two lanes at kilometre 55, and continuing with a one-way segment up to 263,” he said. Today, the Daily Traffic Volume (LHR) is estimated to reach 256,000 vehicles. “And praise be to God, this smoothness can be felt by the public departing from 4 am, arriving by midnight to Kalikangkung, sir. So it’s significantly faster,” Rivan clarified.
