Jakarta — PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk has revealed that the 30 per cent toll discount is an integral part of time management strategy, particularly in planning journeys undertaken by homebound travellers during this year’s Eid holiday.

“The important thing not to be forgotten is that the toll discount should be utilised and managed as part of time management — deciding when to depart,” said Jasa Marga Chief Executive Officer Rivan A. Purwantono during a media briefing in Jatiasih, Bekasi, West Java on Tuesday.

Rivan further noted that the 30 per cent toll discount also aims to distribute vehicle traffic during the Eid exodus and return periods in 2026.

“Currently, we are providing a 30 per cent discount, and this discount is certainly what we all hope for. This is given as part of traffic distribution management. Because this discount is scheduled for the exodus on 15 and 16 March and the return journey on 26-27 March,” he said.

For toll roads in West Java, two sections are included: the Cikampek-Purwakarta-Padalarang (Cipularang) toll road and the Padalarang-Cileunyi toll road.

Meanwhile, for the Transsumatera toll road, two sections are involved: the Belawan-Medan-Tanjung Morawa (Belmera) toll road and the Medan-Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi (MKTT) toll road.

“Why is the discount offered on 15-16? Because we expect homebound travellers to depart on Sunday and Monday, not causing congestion because of work-from-home arrangements on 17 or 18 March,” Rivan explained.
