Bekasi Regency, West Java (ANTARA) - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk recorded that 2.3 million vehicles had entered Jakarta during the Lebaran 2026 return flow up to Friday (27/3). “From the data held by Jasa Marga up to this morning at 06.00 WIB, 2.3 million vehicles have entered Jakarta. This means 69% have arrived,” said Jasa Marga President Director Rivan A. Purwantono at the National Police Traffic Command Post Command Center KM 29 Cikampek Toll Road, Bekasi Regency, West Java, on Friday. He stated that in this return flow, one-way traffic engineering is being implemented, taking into account the number of vehicles returning to Jakarta. “Especially considering the predictions that are exactly the same. For example, on the 24th, 25th, and yesterday the 26th, the trends were exactly the same. So, from 206 thousand, 192 thousand, it is predicted that today will be 183 thousand, then rising again to 200 and up to 250 thousand estimated on Sunday (29/3),” he said. He also revealed that there are several rest areas causing traffic density, particularly at KM 229, KM 208, and KM 164. To address this, Jasa Marga will implement optional opening and closing of rest areas. He also urged the public to make use of the previous rest areas. “We urge the public to prepare because before 229 there are also 360, 380 or after that at 130 which can be used, and at the next opportunity, rest areas 62B and 52B will definitely be made optional for opening and closing,” he said.
