JAPFA Reduces Livestock Feed Prices Ahead of Eid al-Fitr
PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk has reduced livestock feed prices ahead of Eid al-Fitr. The price reduction is being implemented to help suppress farmer production costs whilst maintaining the stability of poultry product prices in the market.
JAPFA’s Chief Operating Officer of Poultry Arif Widjaja stated that the feed price adjustment represents the company’s commitment to supporting industry stability whilst ensuring adequate chicken supply in the market.
“To protect consumers and domestic farmers, we are implementing a price adjustment by reducing feed costs. We hope this measure will help farmers improve business efficiency whilst ensuring chicken supply remains adequate, so the public can obtain poultry products at more stable prices, particularly ahead of Eid,” said Arif on Tuesday (10 March 2026).
Arif added that the company continues to coordinate with the Agriculture Ministry to implement periodic price adjustments to support farmer production efficiency. These efforts are expected to provide farmers with scope to manage production costs, especially when demand for chicken meat increases during major religious holidays.
Through this measure, JAPFA hopes to maintain balance between farmer business sustainability, poultry industry stability, and affordability of poultry products for the public during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.
Agung Suganda, Director-General of Livestock and Animal Health at the Agriculture Ministry, stated that the downward trend in feed prices represents positive development for Indonesia’s poultry sector. The feed price adjustment at industry level is expected to help reduce farmer production costs, making farming operations more efficient and maintaining stability of livestock product prices in the market, according to Agung.
