PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded a traffic volume increase of up to 33.68 percent on the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) toll road during the long holiday period for the Republic of Indonesia’s Independence Day.

Acting Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Dary Achmad Budi, said in a statement in Karawang on Sunday that traffic flow during the Independence Day long holiday was quite high.

On 14-15 August 2026, during the Independence Day long holiday period, a total of 85,790 vehicles were recorded passing through the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road towards the East Trans Java region via the Cikampek Utama toll gate.

The number of vehicles passing through increased by 33.68 percent compared to normal traffic flow of 64,175 vehicles.

According to him, the increase in vehicle volume was also seen on a number of toll road sections managed by the JTT Group in the Central Java region. A total of 42,688 vehicles were recorded passing towards Semarang via the Kalikangkung toll gate.

The number of vehicles passing through increased by 17.74 percent from the normal figure of 36,255 vehicles.
