Japan's Mizuno gaining popularity

Despite the tough competition from American and European brands, Japanese footwear and apparel brand Mizuno is gaining popularity.

Brought to Indonesia by high-profile sports and fashion retail company PT Mitra Adi Perkasa (MAP), Mizuno products are available at the company's premium retail stores Planet Sports and The Athlete's Foot. Mizuno products for golfers are available at Golf House, Planet Sports and Pro Shop Golf Houses located in malls throughout the country.

Established in 1906, Mizuno has made a mark for itself in providing footwear and apparel of unsurpassed quality. There is a wide array of Mizuno products suitable for running, track and field events, soccer, rugby, volleyball and handball.

Mizuno footwear, with its Japanese technology of WAVE (combining the two opposing factors of cushioning and stability), has already become a favorite with Indonesians.

The shoes are very light and have a good ventilation system, which makes them very comfortable even after a long run.

MAP says Mizuno shoes are now worn by a large percentage of Indonesian athletes: 90 percent of male athletes and 60 percent of women athletes.
