Japan's MITI to visit RI

TOKYO (AFP): Japanese International Trade and Industry
Minister Kaoru Yosano will visit Indonesia, Malaysia and
Singapore next week, the trade ministry said Friday.
Yosano would leave Sunday for the three-day tour, a ministry
spokesman said.

"The minister will hold talks with the leaders of the three
countries as it will be his first Southeast Asian trip since the
July inauguration of the cabinet led by Prime Minister (Keizo)
Obuchi," the official said.

Yosano will "exchange views on current economic situations" in
Asia, he said.
