Japanese art in Ujungpandang
UNJUNGPANDANG, South Sulawesi: The Japanese consulate general here, in cooperation with Hasanuddin University, is holding an exhibition of Japanese culture in an effort to strengthen the friendship between Japan and Indonesia.
"The one-week exhibition aims to stir up the local community's interest in Japanese culture," junior consul Kazuya Kaneko was quoted by Antara as saying here on Friday.
The exhibit will be held for six days, starting on Monday, at the Japanese Cultural Center here.
Among the exhibits will be 85 photographs by Japanese photographer Kijuro Yahagi.
