Japanese Air Conditioning Company Offers Installer Incentives
PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia (Daikin) has launched an appreciation programme for air conditioning technicians across Indonesia to mark the one-year anniversary of the Nusantara Prestige air conditioner launch. The Daikin Installer Programme offers specific incentives to technicians installing the Daikin Nusantara Prestige series.
Alexander Eko Wibowo, General Manager of Retail Sales at PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia, stated that the programme is a form of recognition for technicians who have played a role in expanding the use of the Nusantara Prestige air conditioners in Indonesia.
“This programme is designed to recognise technicians who have played a crucial role in the successful rollout of the Nusantara Prestige since its launch last year. As the front-line personnel interacting with customers, technicians are vital in delivering high-quality installation and maintenance services for Daikin air conditioners,” Alexander said in a written statement on Sunday (31 May).
The Nusantara Prestige is Daikin’s first residential air conditioner manufactured in Indonesia. Launched in June 2025, the product comes in three models: Alpha Inverter, Beta Inverter, and SMS.
According to Daikin, the Nusantara Prestige is part of the company’s efforts to provide products tailored to Indonesian needs while maintaining Japanese quality standards, a hallmark of Daikin’s products.
Programme Period
The appreciation programme runs nationwide for six months, from 2 June to end-November 2026. Under the scheme, Daikin provides incentives of between Rp50,000 and Rp100,000 per installation of the Nusantara Prestige air conditioner.
Daikin has partnered with nine national and regional air conditioning technician associations to support the programme. National associations involved include the Indonesian Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Practitioners Association (APITU), the Nusantara Refrigeration and Air Conditioner Technicians Association (ASISI), and the Indonesian Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technicians Association (PTRTU).
Regional associations participating include the Bali Cooling Entrepreneurs Association (IP2SB), TEGAS Pekanbaru, HTRACB Bandung, PTPR Riau, PATEN Tangerang, and KTAJ Jabodetabek.
Form of Recognition
Alexander explained that the collaboration formalised through memoranda of understanding aims not only to promote the programme but also to reward associations that make significant contributions during its implementation.
“This collaboration with various associations through the memoranda of understanding is also to recognise each association. The recognition takes the form of incentives awarded to associations with the highest number of claims throughout the programme period,” he said.
He expressed hope that the programme would strengthen synergy between Daikin, technicians, and associations to improve installation, maintenance, and repair services for consumers.
“Our strong hope is that this programme will enhance collaboration among Daikin, associations, and technicians to build a better industrial ecosystem grounded in a commitment to delivering the best services to the public,” Alexander said.
The Nusantara Prestige series, produced by PT DID, is designed to adapt to Indonesia’s environmental conditions and public needs.
PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia (DID) has taken a significant step in Indonesia’s air conditioning industry by distributing 2,000 units of the Nusantara Prestige air conditioner.
Daikin announced that the Nusantara Prestige air conditioner will be launched in July 2025 at various electronics stores and online sales platforms.
