Japan tin imports down
TOKYO (Reuter): Japan imported 2,250 tons of refined tin in
August, off 12.4 percent from 2,568 tons in the same month last
year, Finance Ministry data released yesterday showed.
Tin imports from Indonesia, however, increased to 1,157 tons
in August, from 878 tons in July and from 836 tons in August,
1995.
Cumulative imports in the first eight months of 1996 were
17,043 tons, versus 59,752 tons in the same period last year.
