Japan pledges $2b for RI
TOKYO (Reuters): Prime Minister Ryutaro Hashimoto said yesterday that Japan will extend a total of US$2 billion in loans to Indonesia.
Of the total, $1 billion would come be in the form of bilateral loans through the Export-Import Bank of Japan and the other $1 billion would come out of $5 billion in loans Japan promised as part of a rescue package drawn up by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in November, Hashimoto said.
