Japan offers KL $2.5b loan
KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters): Japan has agreed to provide Malaysia with a US$2.5 billion standby financing facility to promote economic recovery in the Southeast Asian nation, Malaysia's central bank said on Tuesday.
Japan's Ministry of Finance has agreed to provide the liquidity to Bank Negara Malaysia for swap transactions between the U.S. dollar and the ringgit, the central bank said in a statement.
