Japan mission to ASEAN
TOKYO (Kyodo): The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association
will send its first mission to six countries of the Association
of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) from Nov. 26 to talk with
automobile industry groups there, officials said yesterday.
The 15-member mission, led by Yutaka Suzuki, chairman of the
association's overseas trade subcommittee, will visit Thailand,
Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines
during its 13-day tour, the officials said.
They will discuss industrial cooperation, such as measures to
prevent pollution from car exhausts, and seek further exchanges
with the local industry groups, the officials said.
