TOKYO (Kyodo): The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association will send its first mission to six countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) from Nov. 26 to talk with automobile industry groups there, officials said yesterday.
The 15-member mission, led by Yutaka Suzuki, chairman of the association's overseas trade subcommittee, will visit Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines during its 13-day tour, the officials said.
They will discuss industrial cooperation, such as measures to prevent pollution from car exhausts, and seek further exchanges with the local industry groups, the officials said.
