Janger Toll Road Congested Thursday Morning Due to Road Repairs, Other Jakarta Toll Sections Remain Clear
Several road repair and widening projects began on Thursday (28 May 2026) across Jakarta and its surrounding areas. Despite this, traffic conditions on several main toll road sections remained smooth Thursday morning. The information was shared by PT Jasa Marga via its official social media account on Thursday morning. PT Jasa Marga, via its X account @PTJASAMARGA, stated that repair works commenced today on the Jakarta-Tangerang Toll Road (Janger) section between Tangerang km 20+190 and km 20+250 in the direction of Bitung. Rigid pavement reconstruction is being carried out from 28-29 May 2026 in the middle lane. Drivers are advised to exercise caution and comply with traffic regulations when passing through the work area. Additionally, rigid pavement reconstruction is ongoing on the Janger Toll Road section between Kunciran km 13+335 and km 13+105 in the direction of Tomang from 28-31 May 2026, with works taking place in the left lane. Meanwhile, road widening works continue on the Jagorawi Toll Road section between Ciawi km 44+000 and km 43+000 in the direction of Jakarta. The project, which began on 29 December 2025, is scheduled to run until 31 May 2026 and is being carried out on the outer shoulder or left side of the road. At 7.00am WIB, traffic was reported congested on the Tangerang km 20+190 to km 20+250 section towards Bitung due to road reconstruction in the left lane. Congestion was also observed on the Kunciran km 15 to km 13+400 section towards Tomang due to similar works in the left lane. However, traffic conditions on most Jakarta toll road sections remained smooth Thursday morning. PT Jasa Marga urged toll road users to plan journeys in advance, maintain safe distances, comply with traffic signs, and exercise caution when passing near roadwork zones.
