Jampidsus Febrie Speaks Out on Latest Developments in Case Involving Tan Kian
Jakarta, VIVA – The Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the Attorney General’s Office, Febrie Adriansyah, has given an explanation regarding developments in the legal process linked to property tycoon Tan Kian.
According to Febrie, the case connected to Tan Kian’s name is not a new one. One of the cases that previously came to prominence involved alleged money laundering (TPPU) in the handling of the PT Asabri corruption case.
Febrie said that all pieces of evidence related to the case have become part of the legal process and can be re-evaluated by investigators if necessary.
“Regarding Tan Kian. Well, this can be analysed through how the court proceedings went. All the evidence is there, it just needs to be checked whether he can be named a suspect or not,” he said on Friday, 10 July 2026.
He added that the case has been running for quite a long time. Nevertheless, investigators still have room to conduct an evaluation of the handling of the case.
Meanwhile, the Attorney General’s Office is also said to still be carrying out the process of executing assets in the form of land linked to the case.
“The case has been going on for quite a while, I can’t even remember, but everything can be re-evaluated. Re-evaluated, yes. And the execution process for the land is still ongoing,” he said.
Febrie stressed that no stage of law enforcement was skipped in handling the case. However, he acknowledged that resolving it takes time as it must go through a lengthy legal process.
“And its resolution certainly won’t happen in an instant; there is a very long process,” he said.
