Jampidsus Febrie on Blackout Case Link: I Don't Understand
Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah has spoken out regarding the alleged coal corruption case linked to a power blackout, which has been widely associated with his name. Febrie asserted he has no knowledge of any connection between himself and the National Police’s legal proceedings in the case. “Firstly, the blackout, I also don’t understand the link between Jampidsus and the blackout,” Febrie told reporters in Jakarta on Friday, 10 July 2026. “Let’s just wait for the process and see what the investigators reveal, and it’s best to ask them,” he continued. However, Febrie said he has read the case construction. He suggested that investigators should first conduct a comprehensive audit to determine if there were any unlawful acts. “In my opinion, it is best to conduct an audit first overall, both regarding the quantity required, the quality supplied, the purchase transactions, and the procurement procedures,” he said.
