Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah Resigns
The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has announced the resignation of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Adriansyah, from his post.
Head of the Legal Information Centre at Kejagung, Anang Supriatna, confirmed that the resignation letter was received directly by the Attorney General in the early hours of Saturday (11/7).
“Today, Saturday 11 July 2026, the Attorney General has received the resignation of Mr Febrie Adriansyah from his position as Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes,” Anang said in a written statement in Jakarta on Saturday (11/7).
According to Anang, the decision reflects Febrie’s commitment to safeguarding the integrity, objectivity and neutrality of the law enforcement process, in light of legal proceedings currently being handled by Indonesian National Police (Polri) investigators.
“The decision is a form of commitment to maintaining the integrity, objectivity and neutrality of the law enforcement process, in view of the legal process currently being undertaken by investigators of the Indonesian National Police,” he said.
Anang stressed that Kejagung fully respects the decision and assured that all functions for handling special crime cases at the Round Building will continue to run normally without disruption. The Adhyaksa corps also urged the wider public to refrain from wild speculation and to continue respecting the presumption of innocence.
Before submitting his resignation letter to the Attorney General, Febrie Adriansyah held a press conference on Friday afternoon (10/7) at the Kejagung Round Building in response to the covert operation by the Police Corruption Eradication Task Force (Kortastipidkor) and the Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police.
Febrie confirmed that the luxury house in the Sentul area of Bogor, West Java, which was raided in the early hours of Thursday (9/7), is his lawful private property.
“Regarding the Sentul house, it is indeed the Jampidsus’s private house and has been for a long time. The ownership process from the beginning can be examined,” Febrie explained before the media.
Regarding the investigators’ sensational findings of stacks of foreign currency and gold bullion weighing 74 kilograms, valued at Rp476 billion, inside the safe at his home, Febrie said he was fully prepared to provide clarification. However, he emphasised that a substantive explanation of the origin of those assets would be given officially through legal channels, not in the public arena.
“Regarding the money that was found, I have already explained that it has an owner, that it relates to an activity, and there are people who received that activity — that can be asked about. But certainly not through a forum like this, rather through proceedings that follow the proper legal procedures,” Febrie asserted. (P-4)
Polri has stated that the possibility of questioning the Attorney General’s Office’s Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Adriansyah, remains open as investigators continue their inquiries.
