Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah Resigns

The Attorney General’s Office has announced the resignation of the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Adriansyah, from his post. Head of the Attorney General’s Office Legal Information Centre, Anang Supriatna, confirmed that the resignation letter was received directly by the Attorney General in the early hours of Saturday (11/7). “Today, Saturday, 11 July 2026, the Attorney General has received the resignation of Mr Febrie Adriansyah from his position as Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes,” Anang stated in a written statement in Jakarta on Saturday (11/7). According to Anang, the decision reflects Febrie’s commitment to maintaining the integrity, objectivity, and neutrality of the law enforcement process, in light of an ongoing legal process being handled by Indonesian National Police investigators. Anang stressed that the Attorney General’s Office fully respects the decision and ensures that all special crime case handling functions at the Round Building will continue to operate normally without disruption. The Adhyaksa Corps also urged the public not to engage in wild speculation and to continue respecting the presumption of innocence. Prior to submitting his resignation letter to the Attorney General, Febrie Adriansyah held a press conference on Friday (10/7) afternoon at the Attorney General’s Office Round Building in response to a covert operation by the Police’s Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortastipidkor) and Polda Metro Jaya. Febrie confirmed that the luxury house in the Sentul area, Bogor, West Java, which was searched in the early hours of Thursday (9/7), is his legitimate personal property. “Regarding the Sentul house, it is indeed the Jampidsus’s personal house, which he has owned for a long time. The ownership process from the beginning can be examined,” Febrie explained to the media. Regarding the investigators’ staggering discovery of piles of foreign currency and 74 kilograms of gold bullion worth Rp476 billion inside a safe in his home, Febrie stated he is fully prepared to provide clarification. However, he emphasised that a substantive explanation regarding the origin of the assets will be officially disclosed through legal channels, not in the public domain. “Regarding the money found, as I have explained, it has an owner, it has related activities, and there are also recipients of the activities, who can also be questioned. But certainly not through a forum like this, rather through a forum that follows proper legal procedures,” Febrie asserted.
