Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah has confirmed that as of Friday morning (10/7), he is still receiving orders to complete the case files for corruption matters handled by the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung). “I was still receiving orders this morning to immediately complete the filing of case handling, which has a short timeframe, limited by the detention period,” Febrie said during a press conference on Friday (10/7), responding to questions about rumours he would resign from his post. “So, we have already elaborated on that order to prioritise which cases are of public concern so that we can file and bring them to trial immediately,” he added.

Febrie also addressed the legal process concerning several alleged corruption cases being handled by the Police’s Corruption Eradication Taskforce (Kortas Tipikor) and the Metro Jaya Regional Police, which have been widely linked to his name. Kortas Tipikor is currently investigating several alleged corruption cases, including the PLN BB case, the Asabri case from 2020 to 2025, and an alleged corruption case in the debt settlement process of PT CBS to PT KNI (a subsidiary of Krakatau Steel) from 2020-2025. As part of the process, Kortas investigators conducted searches at 13 locations in various areas. One of these was a search of a house in the Sentul area of Bogor, West Java.

During the search of the Sentul house, Kortas claimed to have seized 74 kg of gold bars and cash in rupiah, US dollar, and Singapore dollar denominations. The total value reached Rp 476 billion. Febrie acknowledged that the house in Sentul searched by Kortas Tipikor and the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Metro Jaya Regional Police belongs to him. Regarding the discovery of the money and 74 kilograms of gold found by investigators, Febrie stated he could provide an explanation. However, he admitted this could not be done through a press conference and would be carried out in accordance with applicable legal procedures. “Regarding the money found, I have already explained that there is an owner, that there are activities, and there are also people receiving the activities, which can also be asked,” he said. “Then there are also some building activities that can be checked. We are confident everything can be properly accounted for, but certainly not through a forum like this, rather through a forum that is perhaps in accordance with legal procedures,” he concluded.
