Jampidsus Denies Resignation Rumours: I Still Receive Orders to Handle Cases
Febrie Adriansyah, Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the Attorney General’s Office, has broken his silence over rumours that he is resigning from his post. Febrie affirmed that he remains active in carrying out his duties and is receiving instructions to resolve various corruption cases.
He made the remarks at a press conference at the Attorney General’s Office’s Round Building in South Jakarta on Friday afternoon (10/7/2026). He said he was still receiving orders to accelerate the case file preparation process for a number of cases handled by the Attorney General’s Office, particularly those where detention periods are nearing expiry.
“This morning I was still receiving orders to promptly complete the case files for matters that must be handled within short timeframes, limited by the detention period,” Febrie said in response to journalists’ questions.
He explained that these orders had been conveyed to the investigation team at the Round Building to prioritise major cases that have drawn public attention so they can be swiftly transferred to trial.
“So we have broken down those instructions to prioritise which cases are of public concern so that we can promptly prepare the case files and bring them to trial,” he added.
On that occasion, Febrie also stressed that his office is currently focused on carrying out its duties, particularly in the fight against corruption, in line with the directives of President Prabowo Subianto.
“Jampidsus is currently focused on resolving cases that involve the nation’s interests and the livelihood of our people, and of course supporting national priority programmes as directed and ordered by the President,” he affirmed.
Acknowledges the Sentul House Is His
On the same occasion, Febrie also responded to news of a search conducted by the National Police’s Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortastipidkor) and the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police. He confirmed that the house in the Sentul area is indeed his private residence.
“Regarding the Sentul house, it has indeed been the Jampidsus’s private home for a long time. The ownership process from the very beginning can be examined,” he explained.
As for the discovery of cash and 74 kilogrammes of gold by investigators during the search, Febrie said he is prepared to provide clarification. However, he emphasised that detailed explanations would be given through the applicable legal mechanism, not through a press conference.
“Regarding the money found, as I have explained, it has an owner, there was an activity, and there are people who received the proceeds of that activity — they can also be questioned. But certainly not through a forum like this, rather through a process that complies with legal procedure,” Febrie concluded.
