Jampidsus Confirms He Is Still Receiving Orders to Handle Cases
The Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the Attorney General’s Office, Febrie Adriansyah, has addressed resignation rumours by confirming he is still actively carrying out his duties. Febrie also stated that he has received instructions to resolve various corruption cases.
During a press conference at the Kejaksaan Agung’s Round Building on Friday (10/7/2026), Febrie explained that he had been ordered to accelerate the case filing process for several matters handled by the Attorney General’s Office, particularly those where the detention period is nearly up. “Just this morning, I received orders to immediately complete the filing for cases with short deadlines, where the detention time is limited,” Febrie said in response to reporters’ questions.
Febrie explained that the investigative team at the Attorney General’s Office has been instructed to prioritise major cases that are currently in the public spotlight so they can be brought to trial promptly. “So we have acted on that order to prioritise which cases are of public concern, so we can file them and bring them to court immediately,” he added.
He also stressed that his office is currently focused on carrying out its duties, particularly in eradicating corruption in line with the directives of President Prabowo Subianto. “Jampidsus is currently focused on resolving cases that concern the nation’s interests and the livelihood of our people, as well as supporting national priority programmes as directed and ordered by the President,” he asserted.
Febrie then responded to the search conducted by the Police Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortastipidkor) and the Metro Jaya Police’s Special Criminal Investigation Directorate. He confirmed that a house in the Sentul area is his private residence. “Regarding the Sentul house, it is indeed the private home of Jampidsus and has been for a long time. The process of ownership from the beginning can be examined,” he clarified.
He also stated his readiness to provide clarification regarding the cash and 74 kilograms of gold found during the search. However, he noted that the detailed clarification would be delivered through the proper legal mechanisms, not via a press conference. “Regarding the money that was found, I have already explained that there is an owner, that there are activities, and there are people who received the activities, those can also be questioned. But of course, not through this forum, rather through a forum that is in accordance with legal procedures,” Febrie concluded.
