The Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung), Febrie Adriansyah, has stated that prosecutors are currently examining all procurement projects at the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). This investigation is part of the development of a case concerning alleged corruption in the governance of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme at the BGN for the 2025–2026 period. “We are examining all procurement. We are cooperating with the Finance and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) on this. Later we will look at the fairness of it all. We are opening everything up,” Febrie said in the South Jakarta area on Monday. He stated that this investigation is being carried out to ensure that the MBG programme runs according to its original purpose, which is to provide nutritious food for children. “The initial plan for this programme was for our children, so that they are nourished, so that when they are at school their stomachs are full and they can receive lessons well,” he said. Furthermore, the development of this case is also to ensure that the MBG programme becomes an economic driver for the surrounding sector. “If it is true, the vendors will truly be from the local area’s produce, the vegetables, the chicken. That is what we hope for. That is why we are processing this case, we are opening it up and pushing to ensure that the good objectives of the MBG can be guaranteed to succeed,” he said.
