Jambi to start reforestation program

JAMBI, Jambi: The Jambi government plans to plant 130,000
mahogany trees and rubber plants in 260 hectares of empty land in
Merangin and Maurojambi regencies.

Seedlings will be planted in the area early next year, said
Supriyadi, chief of Batanghari River Flow Area Monitoring Agency.

The venture will cost the state Rp 180 million (US$19,149). --
