Jambi to build industrial zone to lure investors
Jambi, (ANTARA News) -The Jambi municipal administration will turn hundreds of hectares of land into industrialized areas to lure investment to boost local economic growth, an official said.
"Jambi has a potential to grow into a center of downsteram agricultural and plantation industry of nine regencies in Jambi," head of the municipality`s economic affairs division, Rosmansyah said here Sunday.
The Jambi provincial government has been constantly trying to establish cooperation with investors in the production of CPO (crude palm oil), rubber, marine products and also in downstream industries.
"The downstream industry is highly beneficial to the local government as well as to the society," Rosmansyah said.
"Jambi Province has a potential to develop downstream industries and if the local government managed to prepare the industrial zone with its facilities, many investors would come here," he added.(*)
