Jambi City (ANTARA) - The Jambi Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD), in conjunction with the provincial government, supports the central government’s policy to assign PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI) the responsibility of strengthening the management of natural resource (SDA) exports.

“This is a policy determined by the central government, which was also mentioned by the Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs (Zulkifli Hasan) during the plenary session for the Jambi City Anniversary; based on the presentation, the objective is clearly positive,” stated the Chairman of the Jambi Provincial DPRD, Muhammad Hafiz, in Jambi on Tuesday.

He ensured that the Jambi Provincial DPRD is prepared to oversee regional aspirations should any deficiencies or imperfect regulations be identified during the process, while also monitoring further developments regarding the implementation of natural resource export governance under PT DSI’s management. “We support this policy,” he added briefly.

Furthermore, Hafiz explained that any new national-scale policies issued by the central government will be immediately followed up at the regional level. He noted that this step is crucial to ensure that regional export activities possess the necessary legal strength and contribute to a legal and conducive trade ecosystem.

“We support it, and we will ensure that the follow-up at the regional level is carried out in accordance with complete regulations,” he concluded.

According to him, the implementation of a single-door export system through PT DSI is intended to instil discipline regarding the reporting of export results among business actors. This is because all exporters will be required to report their export activities to DSI via the Customs Excise Information System and Automation (CEISA) 4.0 platform, managed by the Directorate General of Customs and Excise under the Ministry of Finance.
