The Jambi Provincial Police are investigating the involvement of three officers in a rape and/or sexual violence case against a woman with the initials C, which went viral some time ago.

The Head of Public Relations of the Jambi Provincial Police, Senior Commissioner Pol Erlan Munaji, stated that the case is being handled transparently and accountably.

“The case continues to develop in the public sphere, thus encouraging us to accelerate the handling of the case transparently and accountably,” said Erlan in Jambi on Monday (20/4), quoted from Antara.

His side is also enforcing the law and internal code of ethics.

Furthermore, he said, for two personnel from the Jambi Provincial Police as the main suspected perpetrators, namely Bripda S and Bripda N, the investigation process has been carried out and they have undergone a trial by the National Police Ethics Commission (KKEP) with a decision of dismissal or dishonourable discharge (PTDH).

Meanwhile, for the other three personnel from the Jambi Provincial Police who are suspected of being involved, they are currently undergoing the National Police Ethics Commission (KKEP) trial process as part of accountability for the alleged violations they committed.

The victim’s legal advisor with the initials C has also reported the incident to the SPKT of the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency as an effort to seek justice and ensure that the case handling runs objectively.

The Jambi Provincial Police affirm that they continue to monitor this case until it is resolved as a form of commitment to upholding the law, maintaining institutional integrity, and providing protection to the public.
