Jambi Police Open Recruitment for Indigenous Suku Anak Dalam Youth

The Jambi Regional Police are providing opportunities for young members of the Suku Anak Dalam (SAD) community to join the Indonesian National Police (Polri). This initiative is part of a special affirmative action policy from the National Police Chief aimed at empowering youth from remote indigenous communities.

Jambi Police Chief Inspector General Krisno H. Siregar stated that SAD youth, both male and female, who have the interest, adequate physical ability, and educational background can apply through the proactive recruitment pathway. For the 2026 fiscal year, a young man from the SAD community in Tebo Regency, Muhammad Rimba Alaska, has successfully passed the selection process to become a police officer candidate.

Rimba Alaska is currently undergoing education and training at the Jambi Police State School. Upon completion, he is expected to be deployed as a ‘Polisi Rimba’ (Jungle Police) to serve as a bridge between the police force and the SAD community in his home region, helping to mitigate and handle potential issues involving the indigenous group.
