Jambi Immigration Opens 'Pasporia' Sunday Service to Ease Public Access

The Jambi Class I Immigration Checkpoint Office has launched a mobile passport service programme called Pasporia (Sunday Fun Passport) to bring document processing closer to the public. The service operates every Sunday in crowded areas, such as during car-free day in front of the governor’s office, according to Andrianto P Ndoda, Head of the Traffic and Immigration Status Section at the Jambi Immigration Office. Andri explained that the Pasporia programme aims to provide an opportunity for people who are busy on working days, allowing them to process their passports on their day off while exercising. Residents wishing to use this service are advised to prepare the required documents, such as electronic ID cards, family cards, diplomas, birth certificates, or marriage books. In addition to facilitating access, the programme also seeks to educate applicants on using passports properly and in accordance with the original purpose of travel. He added that since its launch in mid-May, the programme has already served 409 applicants. The immigration office also urged citizens intending to work abroad to follow proper procedures and not to misuse their passports for illegal work, warning that doing so is highly dangerous and detrimental to themselves in a foreign country. The service aligns with the Director General of Immigration’s directive to bring a spirit of service to the people through fast, transparent, and friendly service.
