Container flow at IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) Area Jambi recorded significant growth in March 2026, in line with increasing goods distribution activities ahead of Eid al-Fitr. Throughput volume rose 22.5 per cent compared to the same period last year.

Based on operational data, the container flow at IPC TPK Area Jambi reached 2,775 TEUs in March 2026, up from 2,265 TEUs in March 2025.

This surge reflects increasing logistics mobility in the Jambi region, both for domestic consumption needs and commodity distribution.

This performance strengthening is also in line with the solid foreign trade conditions in Jambi Province. In January 2026, Jambi’s export value was recorded at US$152.92 million, far exceeding imports of US$11.16 million, resulting in a significant trade balance surplus. Jambi’s export structure, dominated by the industrial sector and flagship commodities such as palm oil derivatives, rubber, and forestry products, has further driven high logistics activity in the area.

IPC TPK Area Jambi Operations Manager, Wedhar Tani Aji, stated that this achievement is the result of the company’s consistency in maintaining service reliability. “This growth reflects our efforts to ensure reliable operations, accelerate loading and unloading services, and strengthen collaboration with all stakeholders,” he said.

Operationally, the increase in container flow in March was driven by a surge in domestic container volume. Cement commodity distribution rose in line with the massive infrastructure development in the Jambi region. In addition, shipments of staple needs such as rice, flour, as well as food and beverages also increased, in line with rising public demand ahead of Eid.
