Jambi City Investment and One-Stop Services Department Achieves 'Very Good' Rating
The Jambi City Government’s commitment to building a professional, adaptive, and public-service-oriented bureaucracy has yielded national recognition. Under the leadership of Mayor Dr. Maulana and Deputy Mayor Diza Hazra Aljosha, Jambi City has achieved a ‘Very Good’ rating in the 2026 Integrated One-Stop Service Performance Assessment (PENKIN), organised by the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM).
The award was established through the Decree of the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM of the Republic of Indonesia Number 204.S of 2026, signed by Minister Rosan Perkasa Roeslani. In this assessment, the Jambi City Government, through the Department of Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services (DPMPTSP), achieved a score of 86.622, an increase of 6.576 points from the previous year’s score of 80.046.
This improvement not only earned Jambi City the ‘Very Good’ distinction but also positioned it as one of the cities with the best licensing service performance in Indonesia, outperforming several major cities including Yogyakarta, Makassar, Depok, Bogor, South Tangerang, and Malang. This achievement serves as an indicator that the bureaucratic reform measures implemented by the Jambi City Government are yielding tangible results, particularly in providing fast, transparent, accountable, and legally certain public services for both the community and business actors.
Mayor Maulana stated that the award is the fruit of the commitment of all Jambi City Government officials to transform public services towards ease of access and an improved investment climate. He emphasised that high-quality public services are the foundation of a government trusted by the people. He further noted that the quality of public services is closely linked to regional investment growth, as better services increase investor confidence, leading to increased investment value, job creation, and regional economic growth.
The Mayor also expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Investment/BKPM and the independent assessment team for their objective and professional evaluation process, which included field verifications. He noted that the results provide valuable feedback for continuous improvement.
Meanwhile, the Head of DPMPTSP Jambi City, Abu Bakar, stated that the award is the result of collective work to build a modern, professional, and responsive licensing system. He credited the success to the full support of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor in driving digital-based service innovations and the simplification of licensing processes. He added that this achievement serves as motivation to continue strengthening service governance and introducing new innovations.
For reference, the Integrated One-Stop Service Performance Assessment (PENKIN) is a national instrument organised by the Ministry of Investment/BKPM to measure the quality of licensing services and the effectiveness of accelerating business implementation in the regions. The assessment follows the Regulation of the Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM Number 2 of 2022, with indicators including the implementation of the Online Single Submission Risk-Based Approach (OSS-RBA), the quality of DPMPTSP services, the effectiveness of licensing acceleration, and the commitment of regional heads to supporting the ease of doing business.
