Jambi City DPPKB targets 11,129 MBG 3B beneficiaries in 2026

Jambi City (ANTARA) – The City of Jambi’s Population Control and Family Planning Service (DPPKB Kota Jambi) targets 11,129 beneficiaries for the MBG 3B programme in 2026 as part of accelerating family-based stunting reduction. “We have formulated the follow-up action plan for accelerating stunting reduction in Jambi City based on the family approach through MBG 3B,” said Vera Sofiani, Secretary of DPPKB Kota Jambi, at the Griya Mayang Rumdis Wali Kota hall, Telanaipura, Jambi, on Thursday. The statement was made during the Regional Coordination Meeting (Rakorda) for the Kota Jambi-level Bangga Kencana programme in 2026, under the theme “Transforming the Bangga Kencana Programme to Support Jambi City’s Happiness Programme and the President’s Priority Programme Towards Indonesia Golden 2045.” She said MBG 3B is one of the priority strategies of the local government to improve nutrition for pregnant women (bumil), lactating women (busui) and toddlers (balita, non-ECD). The MBG 3B beneficiary target for 2026 comprises 7,969 toddlers, 856 pregnant women, and 2,304 lactating mothers. Distribution of the programme will be optimised through 43 Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) across Jambi City. According to Vera, as of now the number of beneficiaries reached is 4,907 people, or 44.09 percent of the total target. Meanwhile, Jambi Mayor Maulana said the Bangga Kencana coordination meeting strengthens family-based development. He noted that stunting prevention continues through various measures such as the Parent-Guardian Movement Against Stunting (Genting) and the President’s priority programme MBG, which targets pregnant women, lactating women and toddlers. The event was attended by 100 participants from regional devices, non-governmental organisations, professional associations and educational units.
