Jalin and BACenter Collaborate to Boost Digital Payments as QRIS Transactions Surge

PT Jalin Pembayaran Nusantara (Jalin) and the Bina Astacita Center (BACenter) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on developing research-based national payment system programmes and solutions. The synergy is directed at supporting various government agendas, ranging from the digitalisation of public services and optimisation of state and regional revenues, to the efficiency of government spending, distribution of social assistance, and expansion of financial inclusion. This collaboration takes place amid significant growth in digital payment transactions in Indonesia. Bank Indonesia recorded that the volume of transactions via internet and mobile banking, BI-FAST, and BI-RTGS reached 16.07 billion in the first half of 2026, a 36.88 percent increase compared to the same period the previous year. Meanwhile, QRIS transaction volume grew by 100.12 percent year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026, with cross-border QRIS transactions recording a net inflow value of Rp 1.52 trillion. The surge in digital transactions underscores the increasingly strategic role of payment systems in supporting economic activity and public services.
