JAL starts Vietnam flights
TOKYO (DPA): Japan's largest carrier, Japan Airlines (JAL),
said on Thursday it started flying two weekly non-stop flights
from Tokyo's Narita Airport to Ho Chi Minh City, in response to
the increase of Japanese business and tourist travel to Vietnam.
The new service is operated as a code share with Vietnam
Airlines. It was the first direct flight service from and to
Narita for the two airlines.
JAL launched service to Vietnam from Osaka's Kansai
International Airport in November 1994 and began a code share
service on this route with Vietnam Airlines in April 1996.
