Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Central Jakarta City Government states that there is no shortage of subsidised 3 kg LPG gas in the area, with stocks confirmed to be sufficient after a team conducted inspections at several depots. “From the results of monitoring several depots and agents that we visited, the availability of 3 kg LPG gas stock is safe, there is no shortage, and even the stock is sufficient,” said Deputy Head of the Food and Food Security Group, Maritime, and Agriculture of the Central Jakarta Administrative City, Puji Rahayu, in Jakarta on Tuesday. According to her, a joint team from the Central Jakarta City Government (Pemkot) conducted oversight of the availability of subsidised 3 kilogram LPG gas and the prices sold to residents, particularly in the Kemayoran Sub-District. Puji stated that subsidised LPG gas is one of the basic needs, so this monitoring is carried out to ensure the availability of LPG gas stock and that the prices purchased by residents are affordable. She explained that the joint team conducted direct monitoring by visiting several depots and subsidised LPG gas agents to ensure that the stock availability is sold according to the Maximum Retail Price (HET) set by the government. “The prices are in accordance with the HET set by the government,” she said. In addition to checking availability and prices, the Central Jakarta City Government joint team also checked compliance with the weight standards for 3 kilogram LPG gas cylinders. “The standard weight for a filled 3 kilogram LPG gas cylinder is 8 kg and an empty cylinder is 5 kg; we also checked the availability of safety equipment in the form of Portable Fire Extinguishers (APAR),” she added.
