Jakarta – A subsidiary of PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), PT Jakarta OSES Energi (PT JOE), has partnered with the Association of Oil and Renewable Energy Producing Regions (ADPMET) to strengthen governance of the 10 per cent participating interest in the regional oil and gas sector. The collaboration was sealed with a memorandum of understanding at the Indonesia Petroleum Association Convention & Exhibition (IPA Convex) 2026 at ICE BSD City, Tangerang Selatan, on Friday 22 May 2026.

PT JOE is a Jakarta provincial-owned enterprise (BUMD) mandated to manage the 10 per cent PI in the SES Working Area. PT JOE director Astar Simorangkir said the collaboration aims to strengthen the capacity of the regional PI management company to be more effective and sustainable.

“ This collaboration represents a strategic step to enhance the capacity of the PI-holding companies, to build governance that is transparent and accountable, and to promote the sustainability of the PI-managed business,” Astar said in a statement on Friday 22 May 2026.

According to Astar, the collaboration covers strengthening human resource capacity, improving governance of the 10 per cent PI, and developing collaboration among PI managers in various regions.

Additionally, the two parties will strengthen understanding of management of the participating interest in the oil and gas sector.

During IPA Convex 2026, PT JOE also outlined several corporate social responsibility and environment programmes implemented on Pulau Sabira and other Kepulauan Seribu areas.

These programmes form part of the management of the 10 per cent PI in the SES Working Area in DKI Jakarta.

“ The focus is not only on business and operational aspects, but also on improving the quality of life of communities located around the areas affected by industrial activity,” Astar said.

In that session, Pulau Sabira community representatives were present to introduce MSMEs’ products nurtured by the TJSL programme of PT JOE to IPA Convex 2026 visitors.

Head of RT 04 Pulau Sabira Siti Fatimah and Secretary RT 01 Pulau Sabira Rohaenah brought several MSME products developed under PT JOE’s TJSL programme.

Astar said community involvement in the event was a move to broaden access to promotion and the development of the local economy.
