JakLingko Passenger Slapped and Kicked Inside an Angkot, Perpetrator Arrested
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - A JakLingko transport passenger on the Lebak Bulus–Cipulir route with initials BI (27) was assaulted inside the vehicle while passing through the underpass of the Ulujami Toll, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta, Thursday (21 May 2026). The perpetrator with initials NS (30) has since been arrested by police. Pesanggrahan Police Chief AKP Seala Syah Alam said the incident began when the victim boarded the JakLingko from the Arhanud area to Cipulir. ‘The victim sat near the left door of the vehicle,’ Seala said in a written statement, Saturday (23 May 2026). The perpetrator then sought help from another passenger to tap the electronic payment card because the machine had malfunctioned. After the card was successfully used, the victim received the card from another passenger to hand back to the perpetrator. However, the perpetrator suddenly pulled the card roughly from the victim’s hand. ‘Not long after, when there was a passenger alighting and the victim was helping to close the door, the perpetrator suddenly slapped the victim’s left cheek,’ Seala said. The victim briefly questioned the suspect’s actions. However, the perpetrator slapped the victim twice more and kicked them once, triggering a verbal dispute inside the vehicle. Seeing the commotion, the driver stopped the vehicle and asked all passengers to alight. When the victim was about to alight from the vehicle, the perpetrator kicked them again, hitting the victim’s left arm. ‘Another passenger then restrained them,’ Seala explained.
