Jakarta (ANTARA) - The West Jakarta Food Security, Maritime, and Agriculture Sub-District Office (Sudin KPKP) vaccinated 60 rabies-transmitting animals (HPR) in the Jembatan Lima area, Tambora. The vaccination was carried out over three days from 7-9 April 2026, with a total of 60 HPR vaccinated, including cats, dogs, and monkeys. “Vaccination for residents’ pets is provided free of charge,” said the Head of the KPKP Implementation Unit for Taman Sari Sub-District, Dede Sulaeman, when contacted in Jakarta on Friday. He stated that the activity on Tuesday (7/4) was held in the courtyard of the Jembatan Lima Ward Office, where 23 cats were vaccinated. On Wednesday (8/4), the event took place in RW 02, Jembatan Lima, vaccinating nine cats and 11 dogs. Meanwhile, on Thursday (9/4), vaccination was again held in the courtyard of the local ward office, with 17 cats vaccinated. “The goal of this vaccination is to keep Jakarta, especially West Jakarta, rabies-free,” Dede explained.
