Jakbar City Officials Urged Not to Falsify Follow-Up on CRM Reports
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Secretary of West Jakarta City (Jakbar), Firmanudin Ibrahim, has urged his subordinates not to fabricate follow-ups on citizens’ reports through the Cepat Respon Masyarakat (CRM) service or the Jakarta Kini (JAKI) complaint channel.
This directive comes in the wake of a fabrication of reports using artificial intelligence (AI) by Public Facilities and Infrastructure Handling Officers (PPSU) in Kalisari Ward, East Jakarta, some time ago.
“This is an emphasis from the Mayor that for reports related to CRM follow-ups, there should be no fabrication,” said Firman when confirmed in Jakarta on Thursday.
He stressed that all subordinates should act with greater caution to avoid undesirable incidents, such as those carried out by the PPSU in East Jakarta, who responded to complaints using AI.
“I ask the District Heads, Sub-district Heads, and respective Work Units of Regional Devices (UKPD) to be more careful and to provide direct supervision. It must not happen in West Jakarta,” Firmanudin emphasised.
Furthermore, he urged leaders to supervise employees in their respective units to anticipate and prevent undesirable incidents, including the misuse of operational official vehicles with red plates or other government assets.
“So, this is a form of learning for all of us. It may not happen in our place, but it could. Heads of sub-districts, with all the busyness, may not know. The Governor is very focused on this matter. So, I emphasise it to all colleagues,” Firmanudin concluded.
According to him, public service is the obligation of all civil servants (ASN).
“This is our obligation, our daily work that we need to carry out. Follow up properly, without fabrication, and indeed in this current era, an era of transparency, it is visible. Whatever actions we take, it can be seen,” he stated.
“We must maintain this; when using government assets or facilities, they must be properly safeguarded. We must be more careful, and also control our tempers,” he added.
