Jakbar becomes the city with the best public services in Indonesia with the predicate ‘Highest Quality Opinion’, according to the Ombudsman RI Jakarta Raya Representative. The representative of the Ombudsman RI Jakarta Raya, Dedy Irsan, explained that the West Jakarta City Government (Pemkot Jakarta Barat) achieved an accumulated score of 89.54. ‘There are several sample service units showing impressive performance, including Sudin Sosial Jakarta Barat with a score of 93.73 (very good), RSUD Kembangan with 91.68 (very good), and SDN 08 Pagi Joglo with 83.23 (good),’ Dedy said when contacted in Jakarta on Thursday. The assessment conducted in November 2025 placed West Jakarta in the list of the seven best cities nationwide. West Jakarta Mayor Iin Mutmainnah described the achievement as the fruit of a culture of work transformation and service digitisation. ‘The result of simplified procedures, strengthened complaint mechanism, and close synergy with the Ombudsman. But public expectations continue to grow, so innovation must be sustainable,’ Iin said. Meanwhile, Head of the West Jakarta Social Service Office, Fajar Laksono, who represented the award-winning work unit, expressed appreciation for the objective assessment from the Ombudsman. ‘Maintaining the ’Very Good’ predicate is much harder. This motivates us to continue to strengthen service standards and the integrity of the apparatus in the future,’ he said. For information, with the high score, the Ombudsman RI provides several important notes to maintain quality, including conducting the Community Satisfaction Survey (SKM) regularly in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of State Apparatus Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (Permenpan RB). Then, total integration of internal complaint management with the ‘SP4N-LAPOR’ application and increasing rapid response to residents’ complaints so they do not spread to social media.
