Jakarta's traffic lighter

JAKARTA (JP): The chaotic streets of Jakarta are looking a lot
less congested with Christmas and New Years on the horizon.

Antara reported yesterday that various streets in Jakarta known
for traffic jams such as Jl. Pahlawan Revolusi, Jl. R.E.
Martadinata, Jl. I. Ngurah Rai in East Jakarta, Jl. Gajah Mada, Jl.
Hayam Wuruk in Central Jakarta have been relatively manageable as
of late, presumably because many Jakartans have returned to their
hometowns for the festivities. (mas)
